Houston Car Auction – The Venue for Cheap Cars

If you are looking forward to join a Houston car auction then you must be trying to look for some of the most affordable vehicles there is. For several residents, this is indeed a good thing because you will not just be able to purchase a very cheap unit, but you are also assured that you will be taking home a reliable one. For several people, this is the most important thing because above all else, you want an automobile that is functional without you having to splurge on too much.

However, there are instances when a Houston car auction is not that advertised openly. There are times when the organizers will publish the event in the local paper but there are also times when there is no recognizable promotion at all.

To make things easier, you can just visit some of your government offices and ask them if there is a Houston car auction that is taking place in your area. But if you do not want to leave the comforts of your home, you can also visit their website and search for information regarding these kinds of activities.

However, your task does not just end with locating the venue. There are still a lot of things that you will have to take into account especially since you are going to release a huge amount of money. You must be prepared so that you will be assured that you will be getting what your money is worth.

First of all, you have to make sure that before you place any bid, you have to make sure that the vehicle is still in excellent condition. To do so, you should inspect each and every part and observe if it underwent some major repair or an accident.

However, if you do not know how to inspect these things, you can just ask for the VIN report and determine the history of the vehicle. You can also bring in the Houston car auction a mechanic or just a friend with you who can assist you with your purchase. What is important is that you will be able to make sure that everything is fine.

Another thing, you should also compare the process with the actual market value so that you can determine if you can get a bargain out of it. Before you attend a Houston car auction, you should have a budget so that you can always make sure that you will land on a great deal.

In short, research and preparation is the most important thing that you should always have every time you attend a Houston car auction.

Online Penny Auction Websites

Anyone who understands the psychology of layout and mixing colors and space to make people comfortable will recognize a lot about the way that many online auction bid websites are designed. Although each site will try and have a unique feature, shade or design in order to stand out from their peers, they all have the same goal in mind and this invariably leads to similar tactics and styles being put together in order to encourage people to choose their site. A site like StickrPrice.com would be a perfect example of how modern online auction bid websites are creating their layout to appear as attractive and welcoming to as many consumers as possible.

Like most things in life, online auction bid websites have rules and guidelines which people need to follow in order to get along on the sites, and of course, there are many guidelines which will help people have a better chance of winning the auctions. Just like different cities or countries will have different laws, different sites will have their own guidelines, which may make a big difference to the way that you bid to win. This means that consumers are advised to read the guidelines offered by the online auction bid websites before they start bidding because they may waste their time or money if they are unfamiliar with the terms and conditions of a particular website.

It is extremely easy for consumers to get swept up and tossed around in the excitement of new products like iphones, mp3 players or laptops but one thing which manages to dampen the enthusiasm and lust for these gifts is the high price. This is where online auction bid websites come in extremely useful as they provide an opportunity to get a hold of these gadgets for a much lower price than would normally be expected. This means there is a huge demand for online auction bid websites online such as StickrPrice.com but if you are able to be successful with your bidding, it will have been more than worthwhile and definitely not a waste of your time. Would you rather spend 20 minutes or 200 dollars?

As the technology behind online auction bid websites becomes more intricate and expands to greater levels and new boundaries, there is an endless amount of possibilities, and an endless amount of products sweeping in, where these sites could go. Already market leaders online like Stickrprice.com have shown that the products available can go beyond the basic electrical goods and if this rate of change can happen so quickly, who knows where these sites will progress to in the near future. As consumers and sellers look for new ways to find products and interact with each other, online auction bid websites are going to become an integral part of the World Wide Web.

There is nothing to be concerned about taking advantage of the great offers made available through using the modern range of online auction bid websites. The benefits of using these sites will provide all consumers with the opportunity to make the very most of their money, which is extremely useful in these harsh economic times. Just because people don’t have a lot of money does not mean they are happy to forget about updating their technological products and online auction bid websites make it possible for consumers to stay abreast of what is happening.

Looking For Collectable Postcards On Penny Auctions

I’ve found that the best place to find collectible postcards is at art auctions. I was at an art auction in Eastlake, Ohio looking for stained glass and found them auctioning a lot of vintage collectible postcards. I bought the lot at the art auction and it contained almost three thousand beautiful collectible postcards.

About thirty percent of the collectible postcards were pre-linen. These are postcards that were all made before 1930. The linen collectible postcards were made from 1930 to 1945 and the lot I won at the art auction had thirty percent linen cards as well.

Forty percent of the lot I won at the art auction was for early chrome collectible postcards. Most of them were from the fifties and sixties. There were also collectible postcards from the British museum series from the seventies.

The collectible postcards that are my favorite are all turn of the century and were sent for holidays. Valentine’s Day collectible postcards from the early 1900s are very romantic. The Christmas postcards have some really nice artwork. I was really fortunate with the purchase at the art auction because the assortment was so varied.

My collection of collectible postcards contains many different themes. I like the non-US card. I found an art auction that had a shoebox full of these postcards and they were from places like Bermuda, Zurich, Rio de Janeiro, Dresden, Germany, Ireland and even Istanbul. I had never owned a collectible postcard from Niger before that art auction.

People who do not collect vintage collectible postcards just don’t understand their value. They are usually not even mentioned as being part of an art auction. I go to art auctions every other weekend on the off chance that there will be collectible postcards on the auction block.

I am always so pleased when I find linen ere collectible postcards at an art auction. The auctioneer at most art auctions does not even announce the lot as linen postcards; he usually just announces it as vintage or old collectible postcards. His lack of knowledge of the subject almost always works to my advantage.

I have various collections of collectible postcards within the main collection. I tried for awhile to complete a set of state views in all linen era postcards. I can’t even count how many art auctions I attended before I even had thirty of the forty eight states. I know that I finally tired of the pursuit and have just put it on the back burner.

The holiday collectible postcards go to collectors of more than just postcards. I’ve seen people buy holiday collectible postcards at an art auction just to frame and decorate with them during certain holidays. I actually found five really nice vintage Christmas collectible postcards at an art auction and had them framed for my mother as a Christmas gift.

I went to an art auction and estate sale of a man whose grandfather had been a colonel army officer. The collectible postcards that I found there were fantastic. The officer had amassed 353 different postcards from India. It was amazing. They had been tucked into an album and never used and were in perfect condition.

For awhile, I thought that I wanted to collect postcards from soldiers in WWI. I found a two hundred piece lot of this type of collectible postcards at an art auction in New Haven. The mix of cards was British, French and German. It was interesting because some of the collectible postcards were censored. I’ve never seen censored collectible postcards before.

The most I’ve ever spent on collectible postcards at an art auction was $530 for four postcards. They were all from 1904 and they depicted automobile racing. They were in pristine condition. I doubt that I will ever find any more even remotely like this the rest of my life. They were exceptional.

The lot of collectible postcards I found last weekend was really fun to look through. The art auction had a lot of things from a family that had emigrated here from Serbia. The postcards were all from either Serbia or Belgrade. This was a good lot and it went for the opening bid.

What Not To Do When Bidding In Swoopo

Aside from using the basic bidding strategies, we also need to remember a few important tips about what NOT to do when bidding on Swoopo. These are just as important as the basic rules so violators beware!

Don’t Forget the Golden Rule

First up is the Golden Rule which I can say is somewhat similar to our known golden rule. This rule in Swoopo states: never pay over retail price for anything on Swoopo. The problem though is that this gets violated on a semi-regular basis on Swoopo. Bidders actually get a hang that they forgot how much they are spending already and also forgot that they are already above the limit.

I’m only talking about the current product price and not about the cost of bids. If you find this number getting close to or exceeding the worth up to price of an item, get out immediately! Its better checking other sites that sells you product than continue bidding.

The Post-BidButler Battle Bid

Try saying that three times fast: The Post-BidButler Battle Bid, the Post-BidButler Battle Bid, the Post-BidButler Battle Bid. As I mentioned earlier, if two BidButlers are triggered at the same time, a BidButler Battle ensues. The cost of the item and the time on the clock both soar. It’s not unusual to see 10 minutes or more added to the auction clock after a BidButler battle. A common error I see time and again is a bidder jumping in immediately after the BidButler Battle with single bids while the auction clock still shows several minutes. Do not go hand in hand with a Bidbutler that has just emerged victorious on a Bidbutler battle.

Don’t Start Bidding Unless You Have Time To Spend on an Auction

This rule is for all the busy folks out there. If you know you’ll need to leave your computer after only a few minutes, don’t start bidding. A typical Swoopo auction can take well over a day. Now, you don’t need to set aside 24 hours to start bidding. No, most auctions will only be truly competitive for a few hours. A good rule of thumb to use is never start bidding on an auction unless you can devote at least two hours to it. Remember, its just two hours.

Also, you probably won’t need to pay attention on your auctions the entire time. A BidButler Battle, for example, would give you much needed bathroom and snack breaks of ten minutes or more. Take note that don’t be pulled away from an auction after you’ve already invested your hard earned money in bids.

You might disregard these three rules later on but I suggest you do not as it has a big impact on how you handle and strategize your bids. You could also learn more and be updated with the Swoopo strategy community forum.

Towing Services Are Economical And Essential

Everyone has witnessed the aftermath of accidents when the battered cars are towed away by tow trucks. The benefits of these towing services are many.

The crime rate is growing rapidly and the prospect of being alone in the evening walking through a dark stretch of highway is frightening. Women especially are vulnerable when they are driving alone or with children through an isolated area. We would love to all be constantly protected from both hidden and obvious dangers at all times but, the reality is, we are not.

A number of situations arise in ones lifetime where you may need the services of a towing company. If you are in an accident and the car is damaged extensively then you will need to find the nearest towing company which can be a hassle. The company may be expensive and you may not be carrying enough to cover the costs. Getting your car to the garage and getting it fixed may cost you the same as getting it towed to the mechanic in the first place.

If your car breaks down suddenly then you may also need to contact towing services. Cars are vulnerable to time and parts erode over the years. Your car may break down at anytime for numerous reasons and most of the time it happens when you least expect it. Finding a mechanic close by may not be an option.

A mechanic’s shop may be too far out and you will need to find some emergency road services to help transport your car, which is an added cost to getting your car fixed and up and running again. You can avoid this hassle if you have a plan in advance where you get roadside assistance and it includes the price of towing at a reasonable rate.

Roadside assistance plans offer a number of services that are included in the monthly fee. The fee is reasonable and it prevents you from having to pay a hefty sum all at once in case of an emergency. The fee includes a variety of services besides towing such as offering to come and fix your flat tire anywhere you may be. It also includes various other benefits like bringing you a battery in case of a failure.

The roadside plan helps you out of most auto related issues. They will help you if you run out of gas suddenly or get locked out of your car. Every time such incidences happen you would have had to pay a huge amount for towing services and finding a lock smith at odd hours. Having a road side plan will take into consideration all situations where you may be helpless and stuck with your car. They will help you in every emergency situation moving your car safely and securely.

Keep in mind the numerous emergency situations you may find yourself in and realize that anyone may need towing services at any point in time. Having a decent roadside assistance plan will ensure that you get help swiftly and economically.

There comes a time when you need roadside assistance during an automotive crisis. Consult with the Abrams Towing in Mississauga for more information on responsive, resourceful, and reliable emergency road service.

Dropship Suppliers For Online Auctions

Wholesale dropship suppliers or a wholesale dropship warehouse can help you stock an online store without having to actually carry inventory yourself. It is one of the latest trends for turnkey web sites and online auctions and for people or webmasters or people who want to make money online to have a variety of inventory on their online store.

A reputable company may have bargains near wholesale prices but keep in mind you are paying extra to account for the cost of storing, shipping and handling by the dropship company. A real wholesale manufacturer will usually want a tax ID to purchase products at wholesale.

When orders are placed through a dropship supplier they process the order and ship to the purchaser. You company label with your address can be part of the packaging to make it look like it shipped from your company. It can also be arranged to have them process returned items.

Visit related forums and user groups when researching wholesale dropship suppliers. Try testing the supplier if you can have a friend make a test purchase on your behalf.

Ignore old wholesale dropship supplier lists they are often outdated and phone numbers that no longer connect you time chasing down the products are not worth it. Focus on finding a wholesale dropship directory. A directory will often have thousands of products ranging from clothing, shoes, ceramics and pottery and it may include new products and closeout items that are at the cheapest possible prices you may find online.

To make money online with a web site or online auctions consider wholesale dropshiping or dropshipping directories to find the cheapest prices and reputable dropshippers. Swoopo Bidding: Learn the Basics

If you really want to use the tips and tricks on how to win BIG in Swoopo, you need to learn the basics. If you are new in the Swoopo system, I suggest you better visit their website Swoopo.com and spend at least half an hour observing the different auctions.

To start with the Swoopo basics, here are a few steps to remember. a) All auctions start at 12 cents with no reserve (minimum) price, b) The auction timer starts at 24 hours and counts down, c) Bids cost $0.60 each, d) In a standard auction, each bid increases the price of the item by 2, 6, 12 and 24 cents( Penny auctions are also available), e) Each bid adds up to 20 seconds to the clock (The time added varies by auction and is noted in a clock symbol on each page), f) When time expires, the last person to bid wins the item.

You have to register first before bidding and next step is to purchase your bids for your account so that you will be ready when you find an auction you’re interested with. Swoopo sells packages which they call “BidPacks” of 40, 75, 150, 400 and 1,000 that you can purchase with a credit card or via PayPal online payment. Take note that all bids are non-refundable.

Bidding in Swoopo

There are two ways of bidding on Swoopo. First is the single bids, which are easy to use and suggested for beginners, and the the BidButler tool, an automated bidder mostly used by the pros. Single bids can be placed individually and manually at any time during an auction. On the other hand, BidButler is auto-bidding tool that will automatically place a bid on your behalf when the auction timer is less than 10 seconds.

BidButler varies the way the exact second when it casts its bids. This means it could be nine seconds on timer or it could be at least very last second. You don’t have to worry about time running out as long as you have an active BidButler, as it will bid for you at some point during the last 10 seconds. BidButler can be manually set up by choosing a start and end price. You just need to choose the number of bids you’re willing to let the BidButler use. The numbers to use must be between 2 and 50 bids. Your BidButler will be activated when the current auction reaches that particular amount.

Different Auction Types in Swoopo

These are the different kinds of Auctions you can bid with in Swoopo:

a) Beginner Auction – recommended to Swoopo users who have yet to win an auction on Swoopo where competition is much less fierce and also less experienced on Beginner Auctions),

b) Penny Auction – in this type of auction, the price of the item is increased only one cent for each bid instead of the standard $0.12,

c) Standard Auction – each bid in a standard auction raises the price by 2, 6, 12 or 24 cents where a red banner across the left side of the screen lists the bid amount,

d) Nailbiter Auction – only single bids can be used in this auction and the use of a BidButler is prohibited,

e) Open Auction – Swoopo sets a limit on the number of auctions you can win in a given month (around 8 auctions) where you can bid regardless of how many other auctions you’ve won that month,

f) Closed Auction – This type of auction will become closed to new bidders at an unknown point of time which only those users who have placed at least one bid can continue to bid),

Lastly,

g) International and Local Auctions – International allows bidders from all Swoopo countries to participate where a globe icon will be shown at the top right-hand side of the screen. In addition, local auctions only allow Swoopo bidders from a specific country to participate in which shown with the relevant country flag.

Successful Selling On Ebay Secrets-Ebay Marketing Tips

Do you want to be a successful eBay seller with your own eBay business. Here’s a simple, 10 step path to eBay selling success.

Step 1: Identify your particular product market. Take a while to sit and watch for what sells and what doesn’t out of the items you’re interested in selling. Any market research data you can collect will be very useful to you later on. You’ll probably see those one or two items that always seem to sell for a good price.

Step 2: Watch your competition and see what they do. Before you invest any money, see what the other sellers in your category are up to, and what their eBay marketing strategies are. Pay special attention to any flaws their auctions might have, because this is where you can move in and beat them at their own selling game.

Step 3: Find a product to sell: Get hold of a supplier for whatever it is you want to sell, and see what the best rates you can get are. Don’t be afraid to ring round quite a few to get the best deal. If the eBay prices you’ve seen are higher than the supplier’s, then you’re set.

Step 4: Start out small: Don’t throw lots of money at your idea right away. Start out slowly, see what works and what doesn’t work, and learn as you go along. Remember that it’s very cheap to try out different eBay selling strategies.

Step 5: Test and keep repeaing. Keep trying different eBay marketing strategies until you find something that works good, and then don’t be ashamed to keep doing it, again and again. The chances are that you’ve just found a good niche product.

Step 6: Create a eBay business plan: A eBay business plan doesn’t need to be anything formal, just a few pages that outline the market opportunity you’ve spotted, your strategy, strengths and weaknesses of the plan and a brief budget. This is more for you than it is for anyone else.

Step 7: Invest and expand the plan: This is the time to throw money at the problem. Buy product inventory, and start spending more time on your eBay business. Set a goal number of sales each week, increasing it each time.

Step 8: Make it official: Once you’ve made some sales and are growing, you should register yourself as a business. Don’t worry, it’s not expensive or hard to do. A lawyer is the best person to help you through this process.

Step 9: Automate the eBay selling process: You’ll probably find that you’re writing the same things again and again in emails or item descriptions. This is the time to give up on the manual method and turn to automated software that can create listings for you, and respond to completed auctions and payments with whatever message you provide.

Step 10: Don’t give up: Even when it looks like it’s all going wrong, don’t stop trying to sell on ebay until you succeed. If you keep working at it then you’ll almost always find that you make a real breakthrough just when things are starting to look desperate.

Once you really get into the swing of things, you might start thinking that you should quit your job and take up eBay selling full time. But it’s not always as easy as that. There are all sorts of factors that you need to consider. I recommend selling on eBay part time. It is a great way to make extra money. Remember start slow and build up your eBay business.

What Can I Sell On eBay?

By far the most popular question I hear from entrepreneurs stating to sell on eBay is “what do I sell?” That is a question that if you can properly answer, you’ll have success on eBay. What’s my answer? I’ll tell you in a minute. First, I need to explain why it’s so easy to get stuck here. (Don’t worry, I’ve been there too.)

The main reason why this is such a roadblock is because eBay is a product-centered business. You need to have something to sell or you won’t be in business. You need to buy product at low cost and sell higher. It’s a simple model, and you’re probably saying “yeah, I know that.” Listen for just a minute.

Someone who gets stuck here is the same type of person who might get stuck figuring out which stock to buy in the stock market. It’s the same model, right? Buy a stock low, sell it high. Buy inventory low, sell it for more on eBay.

Let’s think about what makes a really successful stock trader. Successful stock traders know which stocks are going to go up. They look at what the market is doing right now. They’ll look at the current stock price and then make the decision.

A good stock trader will be someone who doesn’t just focus on one stock. Instead, they focus on the principles of how to buy a good stock. They look for the winning qualities. They then filter through the many options to find those winners. Well it works the same way with finding products to sell on eBay. You need to educate yourself. You need to figure out what the market is doing. Then you need to be able to make the call when the situation demands it.

So what’s the key ingredient to find product to sell on eBay? It’s all about having the proper mindset. By training yourself to see opportunities, you’ll be prepared for them when they arrive. There are literally products all around you to sell on eBay. It’s just getting yourself in the proper business mindset to see the opportunities, and training yourself to be able to recognize a winner when you see one. We call this “the Seller’s Mindset” which means you’re always looking for things to sell on eBay.

But I haven’t completely answered the original question: “What do I sell on eBay?”

If you’re absolutely brand new to eBay, you need to get started before you worry about what you sell. My recommendation? Look close to home. Is there an area of your house that is cluttered? Check your attic, closets, or basement. Instead of having a yard sale, see if you can sell it on eBay. You’ll start to build your feedback ratings. You’ll gain valuable experience as an eBay entrepreneur. Then, cultivate that “seller’s mindset.
